Grants Coordinator

Musicians On Call (MOC) delivers live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. The Grants Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for supporting the organization’s national fundraising efforts. The Grants Coordinator will oversee and execute grant applications and stewardship, help manage data and do research for donations and donor relationships, as well as provide general support to the Fundraising Department. This position will report to the Senior Director of Development and will be based in Nashville, TN.


Responsibilities

Grants (70%)
  • Assist in the creation of grant strategy and pipeline
  • Write and submit grant applications
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments to gather information for grant applications and reports
  • Assist with the creation of annual report to share with grantees

Fundraising Systems & Data Management (10%)
  • Manage and build upon donation and donor relationship information in Salesforce
  • Create invoices as needed and ensure they are sent out in a timely manner
  • Help track financial data on fundraising dashboards and Google Sheets
  • Provide weekly reports to the fundraising team
  • Assist with the preparation of fundraising and donor-related reports for the annual financial audit

Lead Generation & Research (10%) 
  • Support development activities by conducting research and creating profiles for fundraising department and CEO meetings and as needed
  • Help build pipeline for new business for the organization by identifying and managing data for new leads for grants and donors
  • Research donor giving information using WealthEngine including annual database screenings
  • Provide insights and research for grant applications using Instrumentl
  • Assist in leads management and analyzing statistics data as directed

Stewardship (5%)
  • Create & coordinate stewardship process across departments
  • Manage personalized video process for CEO & fundraising department
  • Manage and send tribute cards
  • Manage acknowledgment letter process
  • Work with marketing team to develop and send mailers 
  • Assist with auction fulfillment
  • Mail backstage pass commemoratives

General Fundraising Support (5%)
  • Provide copywriting support for fundraising emails, materials
  • Assist in creation of annual report
  • Reviewing and sending personalized videos, emails or other communications as directed


 Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with attention to detail
  • Disciplined self-starter who can set and achieve goals with a passion for and interest in learning more about the fundraising and nonprofit world
  • Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • Must embrace Musicians On Call’s mission and vision
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Google Sheets
  • Comfortable with data and financial figures
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state and local fundraising regulations for a 501(c)(3) charity organization in all of the U.S. 


Education/Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Grant writing experience is a plus
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus
