POSITION:  Elementary  Teacher

LOCATION:  Gannett Peak Elementary (K-3)

SALARY:  $47,775 minimum (2023-24 salary schedule); full benefits

CONTRACT: Full-time, 185-day contract

START DATE: August 2023

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with an endorsement as an elementary teacher and be “highly qualified”. Other desired qualifications include: Strong background in early literacy including phonics and phonemic awareness, ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of a wide variety of student abilities and needs; ability to implement PBIS concepts and use RTI protocol; strong classroom management skills; willingness to be a team player; ability to teach to the standards as well as benchmarks and ensure student learning; organized; energetic; willingness to serve on school and district committees; high, realistic expectations for students; love of children; good communication skills; and willingness to continue to grow professionally in a PLC atmosphere. 
DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will serve as an elementary classroom teacher at our elementary building. The teacher must be willing to teach the district reading, writing and math programs as well as be a committed team member in a PLC school and work collaboratively on a daily basis.
