Experienced Project Engineer (00000394975)
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Experienced Project Engineer to join the AWACS Post Delivery Program to manage our proposal and engineering service tasks across the Post Delivery Programs team. This Level 3 position will physically reside in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position allows telecommuting. This job will be Hybrid (at a minimum three days/week onsite).The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite and at one of the listed locations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Lead proposal activities and work with multiple Boeing engineering disciplines and customers to refine Statements of Work.
- Coordinate cost estimation for new business proposals
- Present proposal packages to executive leadership for approval.
- Coordinate CDRL deliveries to the customer
Security Clearance / Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Previous project management experience
- Ability to clearly communicate with other engineers and customers
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous experience working on military contracts is a plus, but not required
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
