The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an E-4B SIL System Associate Engineer. System Engineering with an emphasis on Mechanical Engineering, proficient experience in CATIA and Enovia, MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 Evaluation. Experience in developing specifications and supplier statements of work. Experience in aircraft mission equipment modifications, installations, and equipment repair actions. This Level 2 position is located in Oklahoma City.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations options.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Provide System Engineering support in the development and interpretations of requirements for avionics and mission equipment proposed and installed on the E-4B Aircraft.
- Requires the ability to develop engineering in CATIA and manage engineering in Enovia.
- Requires the ability to manage the release of Engineering in a configuration management system.
- Requires the ability to interface with component level technicians and disposition discrepancies discovered during troubleshooting activities.
- Will be the mechanical engineering focal for the engineering team
Security Clearance / Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Working knowledge and experience in CATIA and Enovia
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Secret Clearance
- Experience at drafting Source Control Drawings (SCD)
- Experience with interpreting RTCA DO-160G and MIL-STD 810G
- Experience at dispositioning engineering discrepancies.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
