GHX Sales Intern

Job Description

 

At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides industry-leading seeds innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. GHX™ by Golden Harvest® is changing the way seed is sold, allowing growers to choose the right hybrid at its maximized population for one straight-up, flat per-acre price. We exist to be the most direct path from start to a maximum harvest. As a GHX Intern, you will focus on promoting the GHX customer value proposition to build awareness and interest with farm operators and work with current GHX customers to gather feedback for improvements. You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Utilizing the unique GHX system to recommend the best hybrids at the optimal population at a flat rate price
  • train Golden Harvest farmer customers and Seed Advisors to use the many valuable features of the GHX app
  • Introducing the ServiceSquad to customer prospects for industry-leading customer support, information, and planning
  • Providing feedback to Golden Harvest to improve features of the GHX model

Locations:  Flexible locations in Iowa and Illinois

What will you do?

  • Complete a well-defined, customized training and development plan with direction and assistance from your manager and experienced colleagues
  • Develop effective product and technical expertise in proper use recommendations and expectations to include GHX value proposition, product placement, and sound agronomic principals to deliver the GHX sales story to target farm operators
  • Manage and support existing customer base and prospect new customers in a defined geography
  • Co-develop and implement strategy to achieve sales objectives in assigned territory
  • Design and complete surveys and projects to accumulate, organize, and present data on customer satisfaction and feature improvements
  • Map fields to enable GHX MaxScript™ demonstrations with prospect customers
  • Assist with drone usage to provide stand counts and agronomic insights
  • Manage territory budget and accurately report expenses; operate and maintain company vehicle in compliance with policy; and track customer interactions

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Actively enrolled college or university junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in agriculture or related field
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable moving violations record
  • Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team
